The Role: This role offers a varied workload with skills being developed in all aspects of the Parts Supply Process.

Handling, sorting and receiving stock to payment procedures, identifying, sourcing and allocating parts. Warehousing duties are also required, picking orders, putting stock away, general housekeeping. Solving customer and workshop problems/enquires and following these up to a point of conclusion i.e. solve the customer issue.

The Parts Advisor Apprentice will be working with both customers’ orders and our own work shop staff, over the phone, internet and face to face using the DAF computerised parts look up and the in house stock management system.

The desired outcome is the Parts Advisor Apprentice becomes a valued member of a successful parts team.

Qualifications and experience:

No skills are required as full training will be provided. A keen interests in the heavy commercial world would be an asset. A minimum of three GCSEs (or equivalent) is required to enrol on the DAF Parts Apprenticeship, including Maths and English at grades A–D (or equivalent). Upon successful completion of the programme, you will gain a Level 3 qualification.

After qualification the future is great and the prospects are endless as this program gives an insight to many roles within Chassis cab. Drivers license would be beneficial but not essential

Hours:

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 – 40 hours per week.

Saturday mornings on rota basis (once candidate is over 18 years old and suitably trained)
